SOFT TOUCH INDOOR BASES® (Cover and Black Vacuum Tee)
Step 1) Wipe the surface with a clean cloth, removing dirt and dust from the area where the base will be placed. The base will work best on a smooth seamless surface.
Step 2) Measure and mark the proper location for each base. Place the base cover in the proper position with the arrow in the corner pointing toward the pitcher’s mound. The tee should be lodged in its position under the base when this step is performed.
NOTE: Manufacturer advises that this position for the tee is the ONLY POSITION that should be used for all play. If the leg of the tee with ridges is pointed toward the pitchers mound, more force is required to disengage the base from the tee. This position could cause damage to the tee and VOID THE WARRANTY.
STEP 3) Place the base cover with the vacuum cupped tee on the floor. Step down on the base cover to create the vacuum needed to adhere the cups to the floor. You are now ready for play.
NOTE: Sliding into this base IS NOT RECOMMENDED.
STEP 4) To remove base from floor pull base cover off of tee. Then remove the tee by pulling up one edge of vacuum cup until it releases.
NOTE: It is IMPORTANT that the bases be checked before each use to be sure that the vacuum cups are holding to remain in place.
Warranty of Soft Touch Bases® - The bases are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for one year (defined as a regular season of normal length for softball and baseball). Normal wear and tear is excluded from coverage.
NOTE: There is an adhesive mat that can be used in the event that the floor is uneven. The mat is designed to create the seal for the vacuum cups.
WARNING: Be sure to read this! Try the adhesive mat in a small area to be sure it will not affect the floor finish.
STEP 1) Wipe the area clean where the mat will be placed.
STEP 2) Place the mat evenly on the floor with no air space or ribs on the mat. Place your base tee on the mat step down on the base and you should be ready for play.
WARNING: If you notice any damage to floor surface discontinue use of the mat. Remember to occasionally check base or bases to be sure that they are holding firm.
NOTE: The adhesive mat is not designed to be a permanent piece it is to be removed after use.
